CANADIAN BANKING TERMS · SOURCED AND DATED

What your bank actually published. Not a guess. A fact, with a source.

BLIA is a free record of bank fees, rates, and waivers, compiled from the banks' own published documents. BLIA starts in Canada and expands from there. Query BLIA yourself, or connect it to any MCP-compatible AI assistant. Statement checking opens with the founding cohort.

WHY THIS EXISTS

Bank disclosures are dense. They confuse people and AI alike.

Fees, waiver conditions, and rate terms sit in long documents that banks update often. These documents are hard for a person to read correctly. They are just as hard for an AI assistant to read correctly. A web search often returns a marketing page, not the current legal terms with a date. BLIA gives a direct, sourced answer instead.

CATALOGUE

Terms, sourced and dated

A human analyst checks every entry against the bank's own published document. BLIA then hashes and time-stamps the entry. BLIA checks the entry against real customer statements often, to keep it accurate.

MEASURED, NOT PROMISED

This is the founders' own household, reconciled January 2025 to July 2026. It is a working proof of concept, not a guarantee of your results.

WHERE BLIA IS HEADED

Canada first, then the world

BLIA starts with chequing accounts in Canada. BLIA will add more account types and more countries after that, starting with the EU. The long-term goal is one neutral record for retail banking terms worldwide.

These are targets, not commitments. Dates can move. The free tier stays free. A separate paid tier can follow later for higher-volume or specialized use, with no pricing or date set yet.

WHY NOW

Three shifts, one answer

AI agents increasingly make purchasing and routing decisions without a person at checkout. Whoever supplies the neutral, machine-readable data behind those decisions shapes the outcome, for people today and for AI agents tomorrow.
AI agents also increasingly handle search itself, not only checkout. An agent that answers a question carries a duty to answer it correctly. For that duty, an agent prefers clear, vetted data over an unverified guess.
Separately, Canada's new Consumer-Driven Banking Act pushes banks toward secure, tokenized data-sharing that never requires a password. BLIA's statement-upload pathway gives you a similar benefit today. You do not need to wait for that infrastructure to reach every bank.
